ABOUT MAX DUDLER

Pristine lines and Swiss precision

Max Dudler is a household name among architecture enthusiasts. And for three decades now, this leading Swiss architect has been making his mark on contemporary architecture. This internationally renowned modernist is known for designs that make a serious impression due to their simple, clean lines.

Max Dudler swears by timeless architecture – honouring the location's history and conserving the environment. Fads and trends hold no appeal for him. In his own words: 'We aren't building for ten minutes. Our job is to create buildings that last a century. My aim is to transform the history of a place into contemporary, future-forward architecture.'

Where Panorama is concerned, architect Max Dudler seeks to gift residents with the space required to bask in the unique view and their new vibrant district.

A SELECTION OF OTHER PROJECTS

The renowned Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm Centre and Scheldehof

In designing the Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm Centre in Berlin, Max Dudler created Germany's largest public library. This ode to books and knowledge soars in the shadow of the famed Museum Island. Max Dudler solved the conundrum of whether to have a single central reading room or several separate rooms by cleverly combining both options. While all 2.5 million items in the library's collection are accessible from the many-tiered great reading room, visitors can also retreat to more intimate, decentralised rooms.

For Antwerp's Nieuw Zuid, Max Dudler designed the masterful Scheldehof,a structure consisting of two building volumes that converse with the movement of the Scheldt. The lower building's allusion to the hanging gardens of Babylon is particularly striking, as is the suggestion of an inverted staircase on the taller building.
